Sniff School is my beginner-friendly scentwork programme for dogs and handlers who want a clear starting point, a proper plan, and support along the way.

What is Sniff School?

Sniff School is an 8-week guided programme that introduces your dog to scentwork from the ground up.

You will learn how to build focus, confidence, and search skills through short, manageable training sessions that fit real life.

We begin with simple scent games and foundations, then progress into beginner trail work, so by the end of the programme you have a dog who is not just busy, but productively engaged.

Time commitment

Around 5 to 10 minutes a day, 5 days a week.

When booking opens, you will reserve your place on the next intake, and your one-to-one sessions will be arranged within the programme.

Do I need any experience?
No. This is designed for complete beginners.

What if my dog is reactive or nervous?
That is absolutely fine. Scentwork is often a brilliant outlet for these dogs, and everything is done at your dog’s pace.

What if I don’t have much time?
That is exactly why Sniff School is built around short, manageable sessions.

Is this mantrailing?
No. Sniff School is a beginner pathway into scentwork. It includes foundation work first, then introduces simple trail work later in the programme.

What if my dog won’t take food outside?
This may not be the right starting point just yet. Dogs need to be able to engage enough to learn.
